Dayenu for Four Oaks East
DAYENU – It would have been enough
If He had merely given the Elders confirmation to launch East but had not given Josh confirmation DAYENU
If He had merely given Josh and the elders confirmation but had not provided leaders DAYENU
If He had merely given Josh, the elders, and leaders but had not given so many servants DAYENU
If He had merely given so many servants but had not given us ATMSA DAYENU
If He had merely given us ATMSA but had not given us Community Groups DAYENU
If He had merely given us Community Groups but had not given us births and dedications DAYENU
If He had merely given us births and dedications but had not given us adoption dedication DAYENU
If He had merely given us adoption dedications but had not given us discipleship DAYENU
If He had merely given us discipleship but had not given us new members DAYENU
If He had merely given us new members but had not given us baptisms DAYENU
If He had merely given us baptisms but had not given us a church planting resident DAYENU
If He had merely given us a church planting resident but not a new place of worship
WE WOULD HAVE BEEN SATISFIED.
If He had merely given us a new place of worship but had not promised to keep us until the day we can gather there
IT WOULD HAVE BEEN ENOUGH

What a Friend is Jesus
by Joseph Scriven and Jonatan Barahona
What a friend is Jesus; All our sins and griefs he bears.
What a grace to carry everything to God in prayer
Oh, what peace we often forfeit;
Oh, what needless pains we bear
When we do not carry everything to God in prayer!
Have we trials, temptations? Is there trouble everywhere?
Never be discouraged; take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our weakness;
Take it to the Lord in prayer
Jesus also suffered; on a cross he died for me.
Though my flesh may fail and heart goes wandering, I will be
Soon in glory — bright, unclouded; We’ll sing praises heavenly
What a friend is Jesus! His forever, eternally!
Oh, what a friend!
Confession and Assurance
Great God, our Father:
As we remember Christ’s anguish first in Gethsemane, and then at the cross, suffering that was for us and for our salvation, our hearts are filled with conviction.
For time spent in idle pursuits,
For our scant progress in Christian maturity,
For the coldness of our hearts toward injustice,
For the lusts of our eyes,
For our selfish desires and godless ambitions,
For wounds inflicted on others,
For fear-driven self-protection,
Have mercy on us, forgive us, and heal us.
For time spent in idle pursuits,
For our scant progress in Christian maturity,
For the coldness of our hearts toward injustice,
For the lusts of our eyes,
For our selfish desires and godless ambitions,
For wounds inflicted on others,
For fear-driven self-protection,
Have mercy on us, forgive us, and heal us.
When you were dead in trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive together with him,
when he forgave us all our trespasses, erasing the record that stood against us with its legal demands.
He set this aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and made a public example of them, triumphing over them in it.
Brothers and sisters: through the cross of Christ we are forgiven, and the power of evil is broken.
Praise be to God!

Nothing But the Blood
by Robert Lowry
What can wash away my sin?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
What can make me whole again?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Refrain: Oh! precious is the flow
That makes me white as snow;
No other fount I know,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
For my pardon, this I see,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
For my cleansing this my plea,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Refrain
Nothing can for sin atone,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
Naught of good that I have done,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Refrain
This is all my hope and peace,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus;
This is all my righteousness,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
I Stand Amazed
by Charles Hutchinson Gabriel
I stand amazed in the presence of Jesus the Nazarene.
And wonder how He could love me,
A sinner condemned, unclean.
Refrain: How marvelous, How wonderful
And my song shall ever be
How marvelous, How wonderful
Is my Savior's love for me.
He took my sins and my sorrows, He made them his very own
He bore the burden to Calvary and suffered and died alone
Refrain
When with ransomed in glory His face I at last shall see
Twill be joy through the ages to sing of His love of me.
Refrain
Sending
O, Pure One, Who dwells on high, restore Your numberless congregation. . .;
speedily lead the shoots of the garden You have planted, redeemed, joyfully, to Zion.
NEXT YEAR IN JERUSALEM!
